Emily Lia - 2025 biog
Still only 18 years old, singer, songwriter and guitarist Emily Beadle cut her live performance teeth on the streets of her hometown, busking day and night to hundreds of passers-by. Initially performing covers of her favourite artists (greats such as Fleetwood Mac, Queen and Bruce Springsteen), she soon began testing out her own, self-written material to the crowds - to be met with singalongs, dancing and rapturous calls for encores.
Thanks to Emily’s innate command of live audiences (something perhaps less seen in new acts these days since the pandemic), she soon became one of the best-known young local musicians, going on to perform in front of thousands at concert halls and venues across the country, being played on local radio & featured in the regional press. It’s on these stages where she really found her voice - arguably her most defining quality as a performer. Big, bold, confident and honest - she references Blondie, Måneskin and The Boss as inspirations for her sound and lyricism.
Born in Germany but to an English family, Emily is bilingual in both languages, although she prefers to write and sing in English..
Fast forward to today and though she does still find time to busk or perform live locally, she has been busy in the studio completing work on her first-ever releases. With a bank of songs written and performed by her, she says of the unreleased material: “I have put my blood, sweat and tears into these songs and I can’t wait to unleash them on the world at last - when they’re finally ready haha”.
Emily Beadle’s distinctive voice and natural gift for performing and songwriting have already made her a one to watch in her hometown - and now it’s time for the world to hear her ambitious, self-penned debut material in full.
